Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Description
As a diesel mechanic, your primary role will involve heading to various job sites to diagnose and repair issues with firetrucks and ambulances. The scope of repair work ranges from changing sensors and batteries to replacing parts on an engine. Additionally, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance work such as oil changes, electrical troubleshooting and brake jobs. The role also requires documentation of completed repairs and parts used. Interacting with customers and establishing a good relationship with them is a critical part of this job.
Brake repair and oil changes
Rebuilding pumps and doing PMs
Electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, engine works, transmission work

  • The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, starting at 6 am - 4:30 pm. You can expect to work 45-50 hours a week, paid hourly. Dress code requires wearing a uniform (10 provided) and steel-toe shoes.
